Drowning on Sullivan's Island

Two women went out swimming in front of the Stella Marris Church/Ft. Moultrie area. This area is clearly restricted to no swimming, nonetheless, these women took the risk of swimming at around dusk. Both women were taken into the open harbor by the ripping tide and current. One of the women was saved by a bystander walking along the rocks that separates the marsh and harbor. Rescue boats from local cities such as Sullivan's Island and Charleston conducted a search that lasted until nightfall, which included a helicopter stationed in Savannah, GA. Today the US Coast Guard sent a boat out at 7AM to continue the search for the other woman. Inside sources say that the woman swept out to sea was possibly around the age of 30 - 40 years old. The mother of the woman taken to sea awaits for information of her daughter's whereabouts. Sadly, some officials are calling it a drowning. We are still awaiting more information from the inside source. We are hoping that everything will be okay for the family of the woman.
